The Colorfield Performance is an art project where you can enjoy paintings in the open air by some 300 artists from 19 different countries. This year, the location is in Groesbeek at the Freedom Museum, in honor of 80 years of freedom. Within one day, artists in small groups will each paint a panel of 1.20 m x 1.20 m. The total of 336 panels has the shape of a large V, which stands for freedom. The artists start on May 1 and the entire art project is finished on August 10. Myself, I will paint on June 5^th. From a raised platform, you have a beautiful view, and you can see the colors interfere under the influence of the light. The address is Wylerbaan 4, Groesbeek. The artworks are also for sale. February 6 – 9 | Art on Paper | Amsterdam

This will be the fifth edition of Art on Paper Amsterdam. From 6 to 9 February the Kromhouthal in Amsterdam-Noord will be transformed into a gathering place for art and paper enthusiasts. Art book publisher Van Spijk will exhibit books (like my recently published book ‘Passion for Form and Color’) and two paper sculptures: ‘Passion for Form and Color‘ and ‘Cactushut‘ (see on the right).

September 21 – 22 | Art Safari | Hilvarenbeek
September 21 – November 8 | exhibition Cultural Centre Elckerlyc | Excess

During this open studio weekend in the municipality of Hilvarenbeek, art lovers had the opportunity to see the work of over 45 artists. You could take a look in a number of studios and exhibition spaces. You can find the studios and exhibition spaces that participated on the Kunstsafari website. A map with all locations and art routes through the six villages of the municipality could be used. Workshops, music and performances were also organized at various locations. The immense manifestation was a great success.

That weekend, my studio was open between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. I was able to welcome around 100 visitors during these two days.

An exhibition with one work by each participating artist will also run until 8 November 2024 in the Cultural Centre Elckerlyc, with the theme ‘excess’.

November 10 – December 15 | exhibition 80 years of liberation

In the cultural Center Elckerlyc, Hilvarenbeek, there was an exhibition with photos of the invasion of the Germans, of people in the resistance, of the persecution of the Jews, of people in hiding and of the liberation of Hilvarenbeek and Diessen in October 1944. The exhibition took place in the context of the celebration of 80 years of liberation. In this context, some of my watercolours were on display of locations in the municipality that are related to the war.

January 6 – February 8, 2024 | Retrospective solo exhibition in the Elckerlyc in Hilvarenbeek

The exhibition shows a selection of my models for sculptures on the first floor. To complete the artistic overview, two-dimensional work has also been selected that reflects my spatial work, or is inspired by it: i.e. graphics and paintings. And in the downstairs gallery of the Elckerlyc you can view a selection of my watercolours that I have made during the last few years.
